ESG Virtual - Website - No Date

The Virtual ESG Asset Owners Summit took place across the month of May 2020, featuring distinguished investment professionals from around the globe including the United States, France, Japan, and the United Kingdom.

This summit emerged as a headline grabbing case study of ESG investment analysis through the lens of the COVID-19 pandemic. Corporate resiliency, business profitability, the role of gender in the boardroom, and stakeholder vs. shareholder engagement are all topics explored in this Summit.

We heard from keynote speakers leading the charge on ESG research including Linda-Eling Lee, MSCI, Hiro Mizuno, former Managing Director of the Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF), George Serafeim, Charles M. Williams Professor of Business Administration at Harvard University and John Streur, President & CEO of Calvert Research and Management.

CFAW’s Board Chairman, Matt Malone, CFA led an exclusive Fireside Chat with Commissioner Hester Peirce from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, exposing the work that still needs to be done to shaping specific ESG-related disclosure requirements.

The archive is composed of all five (5) webcast recordings featuring 20+ speakers on the goals, challenges, and roadblocks impacting ESG, as well as any collateral shared by our presenters.

We encourage members of other CFA Societies to attend local programs at the CFAW Member Rate. Please contact events@cfawashington.org with any questions.
