Please join us on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 for a conversation to gain a better understanding of the potential expected returns, and risks, of investing in the various energy markets. Learn what investors should expect with the recent political changes in the U.S.
2020 was a year that brought extraordinary challenges. The pandemic and subsequent economic crisis caused unprecedented disruption to the energy landscape and the global energy landscape is going through major shifts and bringing a full change in Administrations to the U.S. As economies and energy markets recover from the short-term impact of COVID-19, fundamental shifts in the energy systems continue with an increase to renewable and more environment sensitive policy decisions going forward. In the coming decades we’ll likely see a rapid acceleration of the energy transition. Questions remain as to the long-term future outlook for the major energy companies such as Exxon-Mobil and Chevron and their ability to maintain their attractive dividends. More to the point, if the Energy Sector only makes up 2 to 3% of the S&P 500 do younger investors even care? Further, given the unparalleled amount of many economic-recovery packages, the focus of the stimulus measures will play a key role in shaping energy systems in the decades to come.
What should Investors expect in the Energy Markets? Will millennials and younger portfolio managers invest in oil companies in today’s ESG focused universe? We’ll discuss current trends and their impact.
